Congratulations to Dr. Ariel Gilad of the Institute for Medical Research on winning the ERC Starting Grant, which is awarded to young researchers who excel in their field
ERC grant is the most prestigious research grant from the European Union. The grant is given to a few researchers around the world to allow them to concentrate on groundbreaking research.
In his research, Dr. Gilad examines various cognitive processes that encode many areas of the brain - sensory processing, perception, memory and learning. The overarching goal is to create a cognitive brain map based on information flowing from area to area according to the cognitive process and current requirement.
