Not many of us who went on the trip to Ramla and Hirya on Monday, 2 June were aware of the treasures waiting to be found there. On 14-15 April the IDR academic staff were treated to a two-day retreat to Yeruham in the Negev. They enjoyed perfect warm spring weather for their visit to Perrigo (important to keep those brains working), a walk through the desert canyon where gazelles drank fearlessly from recently replenished water holes, and an evening of star watching with crystal clear skies.
