We are glad to inform you of a special opportunity to participate in an intensive course in Applied Logistic Regression.
The course will be taught by Prof Stanley Lemeshow
, PhD, Prof of Biostatistics from Ohio State University in the USA, one of the foremost scholars and world-renowned teachers of this technique.
Statistical and analytical skills are increasingly sought and required by researchers. The Braun School of Public Health is thrilled to offer for the first time an intensive course in "Applied Logistic Regression". The course is aimed at clinical researchers, epidemiologists, and students/practitioners in public health and related disciplines. It is appropriate for researchers and students with basic knowledge of biostatistics as well as those with advanced training in multivariable modelling.
The course (in English) will cover both theoretical and practical issues in multivariate analysis, with an emphasis on logistic models and their application to questions in medicine and epidemiology. We are proud to announce that the instructor will be Stanley Lemeshow, Ph.D., Professor of Biostatistics and founding Dean of the College of Public Health at The Ohio State University in the USA. He has taught similar courses in Europe and North America. Prof. Lemeshow is one of the foremost scholars and world-renowned teachers of this important statistical technique and co-author of the textbook: Applied Logistic Regression, John Wiley & Sons.
The course can be taken for university credit at the Hebrew University (5 days including exam on the 5th day), or as a continuing education course (4 or 5 days). Classes will take place October 7-11, 2018 in the Faculty of Medicine, Ein Kerem Campus.
