​The Abisch-Frenkel Excellence in Biomedical Research Program: Molecular Drivers of Disease

Program Highlights

The Hebrew University's Faculty of Medicine is pleased to launch a new and unique program that aims to train the next generation of scientific leaders, which will be at the forefront of the biomedical research in Israel and the world. The program offers outstanding students a dedicated training track in which they will be guided in conducting research in the fields of human diseases, the molecular mechanisms underlying them, and advanced methods of identifying and treating diseases.
Participants will complete a doctorate in biomedical sciences, taking a direct-track program, and will receive the highest-level training to for integration in academic research or in  the medical industry.
Candidates with a bachelor's degree in sciences are invited.
The prestigious program will accept 8 new students each year. Admission to the program is based on excellence and academic abilities, as well as high motivation to join the top levels of biomedical research.

About the program

The program is a collaboration between the Hebrew University and the Abisch-Frenkel Foundation in Switzerland & Germany, which works to encourage excellence in medical research.
The program is designed for outstanding students with a bachelor's degree. Participants will complete a doctorate in the direct track.
We are creating a new framework to provide the best conditions to the most excellent students!
