About the program
TDoctoral students are required to enroll in courses gaining 12 credits of which 4 credits are in a compulsory doctoral seminar. These courses are designed to expand students’ knowledge and provide the tools for conducting their research. Before enrolling, applicants must obtain the agreement of one or more supervisor to serve as a mentor, and have a clear topic for their dissertation. Each student is appointed a dissertation committee to supervise academic standards and research progress. The average time students take to complete a doctorate dissertation is 5 years.
The School also offers a postgraduate fast-track which allows honors students to progress directly from their undergraduate program to a doctorate program, without submitting a master's thesis. In their second year of their master's, fast-track students are required to pass an oral examination which will grant them their master's degree. Next, they are required to pass an additional examination in which they present their research proposal. Students who pass both examinations will receive approval to continue to a doctorate program. Students in the fast-track program are required to gain 32-33 credits in the graduate thesis-track program in addition to the required 12 credits in the doctorate program.

Terms of admission
Terms of admission to the School of Occupational Therapy’s postgraduate program:
- Master's degree with thesis in occupational therapy or related discipline from the Hebrew University or another recognized university
- Final average grade of 85 in the master’s degree.
