​The inaugural PPARCA Student Scholarship was awarded to Ms. Evgenia (Jenny) Volinsky.

Ms. Volinsky is pursuing her Ph.D. in the laboratory of Prof. Eli Keshet at the Faculty of Medicine. She completed her B.Med.Lab.Sc in 2014 at Hadassah Technology College and earned an M.Sc. degree in 2016 from the Faculty of Medicine, under the mentorship of Prof. Raphael Gorodetsky. She commenced her Ph.D. studies with Prof. Keshet in 2017.

Ms. Volinsky's research is centered on vascular aging and its impact on organ and overall organism aging. She aims to identify early indicators of vascular aging and develop a model for its early onset, enhancing our understanding of its physiological and molecular mechanisms. Her significant findings have recently been featured in the prestigious journal, Science. In addition to her research, Ms. Volinsky excels as a teaching assistant in biochemistry and physiology courses for undergraduate students at the Faculty of Medicine. She also serves as an instructor at the Reidman College for Alternative Medicine and Hadassah Technology College. Furthermore, she founded an extracurricular science program for outstanding middle school students at Keshet Reem Saligsberg School, demonstrating her commitment to education and community engagement.
