School Director

Prof. Yafit Gilboa

Prof. Yafit Gilboa holds a Bachelor's degree (B.O.T.) in Occupational Therapy and a Master's degree (M.A.) in Special Education, both from the Hebrew University. She completed her doctoral studies (Ph.D.) at the University of Haifa and has postdoctoral training (post-doc) at Sorbonne University in Paris. She has 14 years of professional experience as a pediatric occupational therapist. Since 2014, she has led the Laboratory for Technological Applications in Rehabilitation. Prof. Gilboa’s research focuses on promoting function and participation through the implementation of technology. Specifically, her research examines the feasibility and effectiveness of remote, occupation-based treatment for various populations, including children with traumatic brain injuries, adolescents with spina bifida, adults with cognitive impairments following cancer, seniors after stroke, and more. Additionally, her work involves developing technology-based assessment tools with ecological validity, designed to evaluate function in natural environments.
Dr. Nirit Levanon-Erez

Chair of the Undergraduate Program

Dr. Nirit Levanon-Erez

Dr. Nirit Levanon-Erez is an occupational therapist with over 30 years of professional experience. She studied at the Hebrew University, earning a Bachelor’s degree (B.O.T.), Master’s degree (M.Sc.), and Ph.D. in Occupational Therapy. Her early career was in child development, and over the past decade, she has focused on working with adolescents and adults dealing with ADHD. Dr. Levanon-Erez is a co-developer and trainer of practitioners in the Cog-Fun treatment approach for individuals with ADHD. Her research involves identifying potential change mechanisms and developing interventions for adolescents with neurodevelopmental disabilities, especially those facing executive function impairments and ADHD. Another area of her research involves knowledge translation and applying research evidence in clinical practice, as well as developing training programs for clinicians and students to promote evidence-based interventions.

Prof. Mor Nahum

Chair of the Graduate Program

Prof. Mor Nahum

Prof. Mor Nahum is a faculty member in the School of Occupational Therapy at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (since 2016) and serves as the Head of the Advanced Studies program since 2025. She earned her Ph.D. in Computational Neuroscience from the Hebrew University in 2009 and completed postdoctoral training at the University of California, Berkeley in 2014. Before returning to academia, she served as Head of Research & Development at Posit Science (San Francisco), leading software development for cognitive training. Since 2016 she has been directing the Neurotherapy Laboratory, which studies the interface between cognitive control and mental health across the lifespan, with emphasis on depression and attention disorders. Her group combines computerized cognitive training with non-invasive brain stimulation (tRNS, tDCS) and EEG to measure brain dynamics. More recently, her work has expanded to ecological momentary assessment (EMA) to monitor cognition and emotion in daily life and inform mechanism-based interventions.
