Short Bio
Dr Bar-Zeev is a Public Health Physician, Behavioral Scientist, Epidemiologist, and a Tobacco Treatment Specialist. In 2019, she joined the Braun School of Public Health and Community Medicine, at the Hebrew University at a Senior Lecturer rank. Her research focuses on tobacco control and smoking cessation, specifically in pregnant women and other vulnerable populations.
In the last few years, she has filled leadership roles in the field of Tobacco Control in Israel, as the Chair of the Israel Medical Association for Smoking Cessation and Prevention. She has been a strong advocate for a 'smoke-free Israel', at Israeli parliament meetings, Ministry of Health committees, and in the media.
