Pamela and Paul Austin Research Center on Aging Celebrates Professor Hagai Bergman’s Israel Prize for 2024
We are thrilled to announce that Professor Hagai Bergman, a distinguished member of the PPARCA Center, has been awarded the Israel Prize in Life Sciences for 2024. This prestigious honor recognizes his revolutionary research in neuroscience, particularly his work on the physiology and computational analysis of the basal ganglia and its role in Parkinson's disease and other neurological disorders.
Professor Bergman’s pioneering contributions have notably advanced the therapeutic application of deep brain stimulation (DBS), significantly impacting the treatment of Parkinson’s disease globally. His dedication to excellence in research reflects the core values of our center, and we take immense pride in his achievement.
Join us in congratulating Professor Bergman on this exceptional accomplishment!
