Technological applications for rehabilitation
Our lab is interested in technological applications for rehabilitation. Our major aim is to understand the utility of innovative technologies for rehabilitation and health promotion to improve function and the quality of life of individuals with variety of injuries and medical conditions across life span.
We are investigating the unique clinical efficacy of these rehabilitation technologies as well as understanding of the underlying mechanism of recovery. Our rationale is that assessing the impact of rehabilitation interventions on the real life of individuals is the key elements to consider when choosing a rehabilitation strategy. We include in our studies new emerging technologies for rehab such as virtual-reality, computerized tests, Ecological momentary assessment, wearable devices, Power wheelchairs, videoconferencing ect.
