Active Research Collaborations
In collaboration with an epileptology and
neurosurgery group in Bonn University, Germany, we perform these studies also on
human hippocampal tissue resected from epileptic patients undergoing surgery for
intractable temporal lobe epilepsy. A major goal of our animal and human studies
is to open new avenues for treating this devastating disease.
