​Morris Nechama, PhD

As the Lab Manager and Principal Investigator at the Pediatric Nephrology Research Lab at Hadassah Hebrew University Medical Center, Dr. Morris Nechama brings a wealth of expertise and enthusiasm to the team's cutting-edge research. His journey in nephrology research began with an excellent PhD at the Hebrew University, mentored by Prof. Tally Naveh, where he studied mechanisms of parathyroid disease in patients with kidney disorders.
Following his doctoral studies, Dr. Nechama further honed his skills during a postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard University. Upon returning to Israel, he played a pivotal role in establishing the current lab alongside Dr. Oded Volovelsky, combining their complementary expertise to create a dynamic research environment.
Dr. Nechama is renowned for his innovative ideas and extensive knowledge of research techniques. His motivation and energy drive the lab's pursuit of groundbreaking discoveries in pediatric nephrology. As a Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Medicine at the Hebrew University, he is passionate about educating the next generation of medical researchers, inspiring students with his enthusiasm for scientific inquiry.
