Benny's Lab
Our multidisciplinary lab focuses on developing novel therapies and drug-delivery systems based on nanotechnology and functional biomaterials. By studying key processes in the tumor microenvironment and employing an integrative approach which combines bioengineering nanomedicine and theoretical models, we rationally design selective nano-therapies to provide a maximum drug efficacy with minimum off-target effects.
Advanced 3D tissue-like patient-derived cultures and tumor-on-chip technology are developed in our lab. This platform enables to study activity and toxicity of anti-cancer drugs and nano-therapies for personalized medicine.
