Remote rehabilitation, use of assessment tools technology-based

Remote Rehabilitation - A new model for rehabilitation treatment based on occupation from home.

Occupational therapy remote treatment programs make it possible providing home rehabilitation in order to promote participation and reintegration into the community beyond the acute phase. The treatment takes place using advanced technologies and is suited to populations with different health conditions throughout life.

Use of ecological assessment tools technology-based

The Use of Ecological valid technological-based tools in the assessment of neuropsychological disorders
The overarching goal of this multidisciplinary research is promoting understanding of functional difficulties using advanced technological tools., This study specifically deals with the development and validation of effective and user-friendly tools that can be transmitted face-to-face and remotely for evaluating function., The Virtual Classroom is used among other things to assess attentional function, in the Jansari assessment of Executive Functions for Children (JEF-C ©), and momentary ecological assessment Ecological momentary assessment (EMA)
The main goal of this innovative multidisciplinary projects were to promote the understanding of the functional problems by integrating the use of advanced technological tools. The long-term impact will be the development and validation of user - friendly and effective tools that can be delivered face-to-face or via tele-rehabilitation throughout the world as a means to facilitate accurate ecological evaluation.

Evaluating the effectiveness of occupational therapy intervention programs

This study deals, among other things, with the cultural adaptation of intervention programs and their effectiveness. For example, the “Maagan program”, which was adapted to the ultra-Orthodox population in Israel. The study also examined the fit for Israel of a prevention program to promote the health, functioning and quality of life of the elderly. In addition, we developed and tested the effectiveness of an occupational therapy intervention program through therapeutic riding to promote executive function for children with ADHD.

Cultural adaptation of OT preventive intervention: Balancing fidelity and person-environment fit

This projets aims to assess the effectiveness of innovative intervention approaches in varied cultural contexts. Specifically, we performed cultural adaptation of a prevention program (called MAAGAN) for Ultra-Orthodox Preschool Boys in Israel. We assessed the adaptation of the Lifestyle Redesign® program, an OT preventive intervention aiming to enhance health, functioning and quality of life (QoL) of older adults for the Israeli population. We developed and evaluated a Therapeutic riding intervention for children diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
