The Laboratory of Technological Rehabilitation Applications studies the use of new technological tools to improve functioning and quality of life of people dealing with different health conditions throughout life. We are engaged in understanding the clinical benefit of diverse rehabilitative technologies as well as understanding the mechanism of recovery. Our rationale is that evaluating the effectiveness of a rehabilitation program on people's lives is the key to choosing a rehabilitation model. In our research we use a variety of technologies like virtual reality, computerized tests, ecological momentary assessment using the mobile phone, wearable monitoring devices, motorized wheelchairs, video calls and more.
