Dr. Gillian Kay
Lab Manager
Gillian received her Ph.D. in Pharmacology from the University of London and did her post-doctoral research at the Hebrew University. She has worked as a lab manager in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology for 26 years. She lives in Aderet, a moshav near Bet Shemesh, with her husband, two of their four adult kids, a cat, and 5 hens in the back garden.

Shira received her B.sc in Biomedical Sciences from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel. Currently in the Abisch-Frenkel direct Ph/D. Program. Her project focuses on implementing synthetic biology to generate practical solutions to cancer immunotherapy.

Masha Zaitsev

Masha received her B.sc in Biomedical Sciences from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel. Currently in the Abisch-Frenkel direct Ph/D. Program. She is developing synthetic logical gene circuits that execute complex functions in mammalian cells.

Chaja received her B.Sc. in biomedical sciences at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. She is developing a high-throughput screening platform for Synthetic Promoters with Enhanced Cancer Specificity (SPECS).

Keren Roas

Keren received her B.Sc. in Mind/Brain Sciences from Bar-Ilan University and her M.Sc. from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. She is developing synthetic gene circuits for cancer immunotherapy.

Sharon received her B.Sc. in Biotechnology from Hadassah academic college in Jerusalem. Her master's project focuses on enhanced immune therapies.

Tzlil Yair
M.Sc. Student
Tzlil received her B.sc in Biomedical Sciences from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel. Her master's project is about finding and optimizing synthetic promoters, with cancer specificity in melanoma cells. Her additional role is to develop computational methodologies for the research group's various projects.

Adham Slameh

Adham received his B.Sc. in brain science from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. During his undergraduate studies, he researched the relations between iron accumulation in the brain and schizophrenia under the guidance of Dr. Amit Lotan. His Master's degree focuses on developing synthetic biology multifunctional platforms for cancer immunotherapy.
